The French superstar is back

French fans were expecting two players to lead their team in this EURO16: Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba. During the two first games, neither of them really filled the leader role but luckily for France Dimitri Payet stepped up with brilliant performances against Romania and Albania by scoring two goals and delivering an assist. In the game against Switzerland yesterday, Payet didn’t start so all eyes were on Pogba and Griezmann. But the one who really distinguished himself by creating chances was Paul Pogba. During 90 minutes, he took four shots (most on the field) and even hit the crossbar with an amazing long shot. The four time Italian champion with Juventus FC, finally showed why people are expecting so much from him.
But here at KICKRS.NET we have an explanation for awakening. During the first two games, Pogba played on the right side of the midfield and Blaise Matuidi played on the left side. However, Pogba is way more efficient playing on the left side like yesterday, because the French left full back is Patrice Evra, his teammate at Juventus FC. The two players already know each other perfectly and how to play offensively and defensively. For the next game, the French coach will have to make tough decisions, but we are sure about one thing: Paul Pogba can change a game’s outcome, no matter where he plays on the field.
